Took the pup out for a day, and we got some curry/stew and dog bones packages for the freezer.  The Sako has gone through a 40 year relationship with the Leupold 1-4 scope atop it.  It finally gave up the ghost last year and Leupold came to the party immediately and provided me with a brand new VX3 1-5 free of charge, otherwise apart from the Mcmillan stock the barreled action has been there done that in the North and South Island, pro shooting in both.  Barnes bullets are the projectiles of choice and I am using 45 grn at the moment in TSX.  Anyway a new era is dawning, with the canine.
