One door closes and another opens it is true it is nearing the end for the year 2015 but it also means the start of the 2016 hunting calendar is upon us. The weather for hunting the tops over the last couple of weeks has been dismal to say the least and that has been disappointing and frustrating for me in particular as I am in the process of reviewing the Forbes 20B rifle in .243 cal. I need a trip away and a stiff alpine climb to assess the merits of this extremely light mountain rifle culminating I hope in the taking of a deer. The full report with range time will appear under Reviews on this site early in the new year.
In the meantime I wish everyone a happy Xmas and in particular past present and future clients. Roar and Rut trips for Stag and Chamois are so far proving popular and the planning and anticipation is mounting already.
I am going to feature one client hunt of each specie with photos and text under the appropriate hunting trips this year and I also hope to reinvent my own hunting exploits too particularly in the winter of next year after a way too long lay-off.
