The book is written by Robert Long and it is entitled “Life on Gorge River” I was put onto it by a mate who knew I was looking for more information on Andy Marden and how he tragically died some years ago. Some photos of Andy appear in the deer culling days section on this website. I had lost touch with him over the years I spent overseas.
On my return to these shores I was told he had died but no other information until recently. There is a small chapter in the book which chronicles his accident and at least this goes part way to satisfying my curiosity.
The relative short time I spent in Andy’s company remains vivid in my memory. I do not remember many if any faults that he had. I would be very interested to hear of any anecdotes anybody might have of Andy.
